Stair Edge Trim
An affordable way to comply with Australian Stair Nosing Standards is to install a strip on the edge of the step.
The stair strips are to be set back no more than 15 mm from the edge of the step. This allows for a visual;l contrast to the stair tread. Therefore a person walking up a set of steps wold be aware of where the leading edge of the step is.
Additionally these stair edge strips or trims are often rebated into steps for an attractive flush mount finish.
